For startups
A year ofPostgres, on us.
Twelve months of the Ship plan for early-stage teams. Real cells, real limits, no credit card gymnastics - and when the year ends, nothing renews behind your back.

What that is worth
About $192 of managed Postgres at the published Ship price, redeemable on 1 workspace. It is a discount on the ordinary plan, not a special tier: same cells, same isolation, same backups as every paying customer.
Who it is for
- 01Founded in the last five years, with fewer than 25 people.
- 02Less than five million dollars raised - bootstrapped is fine.
- 03Building a product on Postgres, not reselling database hosting.
- 04Not already paying for CapyDB. Existing customers get the referral program instead.
These are the shape we are looking for, not a scoring rubric. If you are close and think it fits, apply and say why.
How it works
- 01
Apply
One form. Company, stage, what you are building. You get a receipt immediately.
- 02
A person reads it
Answers go out within five working days. Accepted teams get a code and a link; declined ones get a plain reason.
- 03
Redeem, ship
The code applies at checkout on the Ship plan and turns the next twelve invoices to zero. Provisioning is immediate.
Apply
Tell us what you are building. That is the whole application.
One form, one email back. No call, no deck, no "let's hop on a quick sync".
Before you ask
- Is this a special plan with reduced limits?
- No. It is the ordinary Ship plan - 2 vCPU, 1.5 GB, 30 connections, 10 GiB, three projects with five previews each - with a 100% discount for twelve billing cycles. Everything on the pricing page applies.
- What happens after twelve months?
- Ship continues at the published price on your card. You can change or cancel any time before then from the billing page, and we send no surprise invoice: the twelfth free month is the last one the discount covers, and the first paid one is the thirteenth.
- Can we combine it with the free month every plan has?
- The code replaces the trial rather than stacking on it. Twelve months is twelve months.
- We have more than one product. Can we use it twice?
- One code, one workspace. If you run several products in one workspace, all three Ship projects are covered.
- What if we outgrow Ship?
- Move to Business and the discount stops applying - it is scoped to the Ship product. Write to us first; a growing startup is the situation we would rather talk about than watch.
Not the right shape? There is also CapyDB for Startups, Partners and Referrals - and the standard plans open with a free month regardless.
